Pop! Op Drops May Be a Solution to Euphoric Trapdoor Shoes

How many idiots of Halewood does it take to change a lightbulb? Er... round here two of us, total brake light faliure requires a visit to the delights of Halfords at the No Mercy, a read of the manual and the slow realisation that the screwdriver so kindly provided by Volkswagen in one of the cars many hidden compartments does not fit the screws provided by Volkswagen to secure the light housing, this is because it is both a phillips and flat blade device and the phillips not the flat end is displayed. Soon solved and bulbs are changed. Wy does it take two of us? Well I can't see the lights if I hit the brakes so Cal treads the peddle and the jobs a good 'un. I follow this up with a quick fuse change and I now have interior lights again. This and changing a wheel are the extent of my mechanical abilities so it requires recording. For any folk from Volkswagen that may pop in this way, why do you have to hide the fuses in the most inconvenient location? Then you compound it by taping the cover to the fuses in with tape that don't want to come off without the application of a sharp implement. I could have had a finger off.......

Rest of the day involves blinking the news, finishing off Charlie George's autobiography, feeding the family and downloading some Plasticland ('Make Yourself a Happening Machine'), Steve Wynn ('Here Come the Miracles') and Field Mice (For Keeps) stuff.

I also conduct an experiment in chemical warfare in the bathroom as a result of Monst's viewing of Cillit Bang adverts. Stuff smells of heavyweight chlorine to me, not a good time to recreate the Battle of Loos.

No Sleep 'Til Halewood

No Mercy and the trip round the furniture stores. Results in a new dining table and chairs being ordered from a geezer called Wayne who seems to me to be a bit like Swiss Toni. However this happens in Harvey's in the interim we've waled the perimiter, been into every furniture/clothes store. My rewards are trips to Smiths and Borders, lucky me! In both I conspicuously try not to buy anything and immerse myself in Charlie George's autobiography the cunningly titled 'My Story'. I can see me buying it eventually. It reads easily and I enjoy the few chapters I get through. Pizza for food at Cal's request, makes my life easier then home. Wrestle with some RSS stuff for this training session. Then want sleep. Blog first, catch up with Ken and laugh at the Rabbit based antics. Find myself wondering how Sally got on in the smoke. Technorati Tags: , , , , , ,
