First the positive today, I wanna focus on that right now because it's something good to cling to. Refresher facilitators course because I'm meant to be facilitating at the Big Health Debate Live. Meet some good folk who are new to me and old colleagues I've known for a while. It's fun although one exercise where in a pair we had to refuse to listen to each other is difficult, when I'm not meant to be listening I wanna engage because the stuff I'm being told is interesting, instead I focus on my breathing and watch the Mersey. When I get to speak my hands fly round like Magnus Pyke on speed trying to attract the attention of my partner who is studiously ignoring me! Afternoon sesh puts some fears from the morning sesh to bed. The whole thing is a piece of deliberative research and seems to me to be an interesting way of looking at the needs of the cities population and their desires for primary care. I seem to remember doing a search on it and not coming up with much in health on it. Apparently America Speaks are the kiddies! On the negative front, Margaret has a liver tumour and that ain't good news. I drop Monst a text in India, it'll be late there and what else can you do. It sucks as a form of communication, wih I could do better. Nothing anyone can do other than send the odd positive vibe. How long she has, who knows.... Feel helpless mind you that pre-supposes I'd be some sort of help to Monst anyway! Other things are going on but this ain't the forum for them for once. Bury my head ostrich like in Belle and Seb, it's the right bitter sweet tone. Sort tickets for tomorrows trip to the land of archives in the land of Manc. Have my disposition schedules ready, the lap top is powering up. Next two days sees me locked in an archive, I'm not looking forward to this but it neds sorting. Fuck it, need a drink, reach for a bottle of red.
