Finally get round to watching 'Kidnapped', the Michael Caine version. I've a soft spot for it as a movie for two reasons. Firstly Michael Caine is in several movies I enjoy. Secondly I have a memory of watching it with Gert (my maternal Grandmother) in the house at Queens Avenue one afternoon. A day on which we marvelled at the cockney version of a Scottish accent coming out of Caine's mouth. It was only years later I got round to reading the book.

There are plans afoot for a summer holiday in Scotland. To be honest I'm looking forward to it, it's a part of the world that has wormed its way into my affections over the years. Monst is looking at renting a lighthouse which strikes me as a cool idea. No doubt for me as usual the Heilan' Coo's'll be an essnetial sight.
