Dates for the Diary

Er... maybe it might be a good idea to detox I think as a come across Bill Drummond's 'Silence is Golden - or for at least one day of the year it is' which suggests the concept of No Music Day for the 21st November. Dunno if I'll manage it though. It is a side effect of our news service, sometimes I'll lift my head and see news other than health news and get suckered into it.

Meanwhile a big surprise, the BNP shove a leaflet through the door, I wander out to tell them I don't want their racist literature and they politely ask for it back. Dunno who was more shocked, them for being answered back to or me because they were pleasantly polite! However I think I have got to the root of my recent spate of yelling at people outside the door, it's all down to a pair of trousers, always seems to be the same pair I'm wearing when I shout the odds.

Cal demands a trip to see 'Open Season' which takes us to Edge Lane. He laughs like a drain, I kinda enjoy the film. We are somewhat forced there because our favourite venue the Woolton Picture House currently requires a purchaser the previous owner having left to visit the great projectionist in the sky (shame he was a nice fella and the cinema is great). Not wishing to give our dosh to the more corporate environment of Cineworld we nip to Sainsbury's for supplies of goodies for the pictures, and last minute bits and pieces for me to survive on while the family are away. Home from the pictures to rescue the stoo via the petrol shack at Morrison's Belle Vale.

'One Day in History' catches my attention, 1 - 650 word post for the 17th. All they ask for is a reflection on how history impacted on your day. Good stuff.
