The Socks Are Taking Over
1967 the Summer of Love and my Uncle Tony is presented a long service medal from the RAF. Acid was not on the menu in the Airforce, well unless you upset someone and got sent to Porton Down. Blag this photo from the obit in the South Stoke News that the old fella wrote. Mind you it could be for services to knobbly knee contests everywhere. Tony is the geezer with the glasses recieving what looks to me like some suspicous masonic handshake from the geezer in the 'tache. Next thing you know they'll be a goat wheeled onto the pitch, a pair of green wellies issued from the stores and some unspeakable acts performed to the lads in the background sining the collected songs of the Oompah Loompahs from Willy Wonka. Well maybe not.
Chat to Val, Queen of Mortality who is delivering one of my users some bespoke stats on place of death. I throw in a request for a map out of morbid curiosity and because I think it'll help my user. Much mirth as we discuss mortality generally.

Much piss take out of the UCLAN podcasts, the library one is serious and worthy so tip the hat I don't wear at them (mind you some humour would go down well!) but Why Preston? Well it could be the start of a series and Why Runcorn? Springs to mind. Consequently I alienate the populations of both, but they are worthy targets for that sort of bollocks.
Begin the process of adding e-books to the catalogue, it's kinda fun......
