Backwards

Morning and I dash around hitting all but the locals and then to the delights of Warrington with Richard who I insist on calling Colin. Aaaargh, I'm turning into an old codger.... where's my zimmer frame, ear trumpet, dentures etc! NSF consultation (link just for you Ken). Nice to see Shan and others. It goes OK but we dash as it comes to a close and dropping Richard with the girls, I pick up Sally, catch up with some people and dash off to some Training at the Oakmere Conference Centre.

Training is bizarre for so many reasons beyond the control of us. Still nice to see some good folk. Bizarre moment of the training, I reveal that today I am feeling shit. Don't go with the feel good about yourself vibe of the training but was honest at least. I feel closed about the whole thing because my mind is racing on other things. Still tomorrow is another day and I resolve one issue. Need to get my head together by Friday. Reflect later and amend this post with this comment, John the trainer is OK and I dig where he is coming from in alot of ways the problems I have with today are my own. Mind you when explaining the name of his company Maverick stop claiming Thatcher and Pincess Di as mavericks. The former used human greed and establishment structure to screw the population of the country (this is not Maverick it's playing to the lowest common denominator) and the latter was establishment, remained establishment and exploited establishment charity patronage throughout her life. Mind you I still maintain that Diana Roadkill would be a killer name for a band. This may of course be unduly cynical, but I am.

Drop in on poor Ken as his scan is ready, drop off a book, chat which is better than he knows and scoot. Home to discover that Cal has been hurling at school and the day is delightful at the finish.

I Like Traffic Lights

Force myself to read the NSF cover to cover, traffic light it for us as a service. Seems like an NHS mania traffic lighting but it has highlighted a few issues that I guess we need to address. Anyway hit the appendices so now need to trawl through and understand:

Focus on use of automation to release staff time to meet wider needs is interesting. Service delivery culture is mentoned but not expanded upon. Do we need to explore CRM?
