Ear, Ear

So the Health Library world of the UK has gathered in the open cast cemetry that is Eastbourne, a place that still feels it has to live down the visit of one Vincent Van Gough as a holiday maker. Conequently the average age of the population for the few days the library folk are in town will plummet, reports that funeral directors were seen leaving town hands clasped to brows and the thought of the potential loss in trade for a few days are of course completely spurious.

Still though I am not there Tom Roper has provided a couple of Technorati tags to facilitate the identification of blogposts HLG2006 and HLGEastbourne2006 which should prove useful and have already provided me with some grey literature and another seem of stuff to mine. Top stuff.

Morning was last minute touches to the presentaltion, more crib sheets draft of the useless powerpoint, which I print and leave at Reggie. Seem to be rediculously nervous about this session.

To yesterday, with a setback on the powerpoint front (stoopid me having warned Sally about the perils of USB ports being disabled and the need for presentations to be carried on a variety of media, did I listen to myself, did I 'eck as like), it seemed at least from the happy sheets to have gone OK. Things need tweaking for the next one but overall I think the 'RSS for CAS' thing is a flyer.

Made parents evening by the skin of my teeth (actually a minute late but Monst hadn't gone in at that stage because teachers like GPs and Dentists always run behind on their appointments). Experience the Les Dawson mouthing words experience, all it needed was for Linda to cup her boob and purse her lips and the job would have been complete. Leave there and head to 'The Rocking Horse' at Aintree for food. A passable if not wildly exciing meal and an hour or so in the play barn for Cal before we take Monst to work. Home and I collapse.

Magic Rocking Horse

Cal has had an invite to Liam's party up at the 'Rocking Horse' in Aintree. Due up there at 4.00 so we leave at three, head via Belle Vale where Monst grabs a present and she wraps it in the back of the car as we head up. Something to do with Knights and Dragons she said. Arrive spot on time, and deposit Cal in the Wacky Warehouse. We head into the bar area where it is considerably quieter than the Warehouse. Monst is attempting to get Cal to survive a bit more independently. We grab a meal because Monst is planning on heading to work early as a result of us being close to Fazakerley. Chat to Paula, Aaron's Mum and get bored. Nip up to Sue's and pick up some stuff for her trip to Tunisia next week. Technorati Tags: Party; Aintree; Rocking Horse; Tunisia
